When I was a teenager, my buddies and I went to junkyards on Saturdays to search through the endless supply of cars and trucks for parts, pieces, whatever caught my eye. What a blast we had looking at these retired vehicles and thinking what it may have been like when this car was new and what secret treasures might you find in or on it?.

Then, I went to work in the real world and now in my early retirement where I have time to give attention to our hobby of car collecting again, the junkyards have all but disappeared! I know places like California, Arizona and Nevada still have plenty of them, but the memories of finding a small or large item you never thought you would find was an excitement right up there with Christmas gifts on Christmas morning!
