If you need some place to go Thanksgiving week daily from Wednesday through Sunday, Turkey Run is the place to go. Last year there were over 7,000 cars, boats, trucks, creations and more on display, many for sale. Huge vendor area with reps from Ford Racing, Cocker Tire and Bendpak car lifts and many more. Enormous swap meet area where you should be able to find virtually anything youn are looking for, new or old! I think this is year 54 this November. See you there!

Where did all the junkyards go?
When I was a teenager, my buddies and I went to junkyards on Saturdays to search through the endless supply of cars and trucks for parts, pieces, whatever caught my eye. What a blast we had looking at these retired vehicles and thinking what it may have been like when this car was new and what secret treasures might you find in or on it?.Then, I went to work in the real world and now in my early retirement where I have time to give attention to our hobby of car collecting again, the junkyards have all but disappeared! I know places like California, Arizona and Nevada still have plenty of them, but the memories of finding a small or large item you never thought you would find was an excitement right up there with Christmas gifts on Christmas morning! -
No Trailer Queens here!
I am not sure how all car collectors view there collection, but I drive my treasurers more than some. I have no trailer queens, if that’s what some do, a poster would do and cost a lot less. I drive my cars, love to and let’s face it, we are only the temporary custodians of them anyway. Hopefully to pass down to the next generation.
